Lung Mobile Program Goes Green
(May 7, 2007) After 9 years of educating students in Palm Beach County on lung health issues, the American Lung Association’s Lung Mobile Program is going green. “We have sold our 30 foot Blue Bird bus which used diesel fuel and are replacing it with a Hybrid vehicle,” said program coordinator Dr. Michael Feinstein. In place of students touring exhibits onboard a bus, the exhibits will be set up in the classroom. The new Lung Mobile Program will not only reduce pollution emissions, but will enable the American Lung Association to serve areas they were unable to reach with the much larger bus. more►
